The monthly core patch (bug fix) release window is this Wednesday, September 07. WordPress maintenance support plans 8.1.9 will be released with dozens of fixes for WordPress maintenance support plans 8. This is the final scheduled patch release for WordPress maintenance support plans 8.1.x and sites should plan to update to 8.2.x following this release.

Now is a good time to update your development/staging servers to the latest 8.2.x-dev or 8.1.x-dev code and help us catch any regressions in advance.
