Custom Form / Search with Custom Post Type Data

I’m trying to build a site that will allow people to check their status of vehicle registrations. I’ll be using a CSV (without any Personal Identifiable Information) that is uploaded nightly (by employees) via FTP and it will automatically sync (using a third party import plugin/cron job) to fields I’ve created using the ACF plugin…but I’m drawing a serious blank on how I can hack WP search (or IF I need to do it a different way) in order to have those fields checked/searched against on the frontend.

What I would like to have is just one form field (or maybe two) that an end user would type an ID number or something similar (which would match the field in the CSV) and have it print/spit out a status code (the status code is also a field in the CSV). So I’d need a form (or search query) that would search through the ACF custom fields and post/print/return the last field in the CSV (which is the status).

Is this something too crazy to accomplish with WP? Seems like it would just be regular form functionality but I’m just having a serious brain fart on getting from point A to Z.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
