I am exporting all content from one wordpress site and importing to a clean install.
The featured image of each post is not loading after being imported even though the media has been imported.
The media settings are the same and I can see the year/month structure in FTP after I import it.
When editing an existing post you can see the preloader turning in the featured image indicating that the database data for the featured image is indeed there, but wordpress is not finding the image.
The best solution would be for me to copy wp-uploads via FTP, but the client has lost their server credentials and the current wordpress site is being hacked via a backdoor (I wouldn’t want to directly copy the directories for fear of transfering malicious code).
There are several hundred posts? How can I get the featured image to appear without updating each one?
