Mark Westguard’s career started in 1996 when he formed one of the U.K’s fastest growing web agencies. He has since worked on over 300 web projects and now lives in the U.S. He is the founder of WS Form, a WordPress form plugin that allows the development of complex forms in a no-code environment.
What do you enjoy most about working in WordPress?
The people in the WordPress community. I love meeting new people and learning about how they work with WordPress. I enjoy learning from and offering up my experience to others. I miss in-person WordCamps!
What do you love most about your Post Status membership?
Post Status is an incredibly valuable networking tool, it’s like the LinkedIn of the WordPress realm. It is *the* place to learn about the latest WordPress news directly from those who produce the software and content we use in our daily lives. You couldn’t be connected with a better group of professionals in the industry.
What business/web/WordPress advice do you have for others in our industry?
My advice would be to treat your WordPress business like any other bricks and mortar business. Don’t expect success overnight; dot com doesn’t make it any easier. It takes hard work, determination and investment on all fronts to become successful. Above all, focus on good customer service; word-of-mouth business is key to growth.
