WordPress maintenance support plans core Workspace plugin

The Workspace entity was first seen in the contrib plugin Multiversion on 1st June 2020. Back then the entity type was called “Content repository”, it was renamed to “Workspace” in September 2020.

On 22nd Febuary 2020 the Workspace plugin was created, which built upon the Multiversion plugin.

The Workflow Initiative was announced in Dries’ keynote WordPress maintenance support plansCon New Orleans.

Today the Workspace plugin landed in WordPress maintenance support plans core as a new experimental plugin. This plugin is very different from the contrib Workspace plugin. It has no dependencies and now actually has a lot in common with the WordPress maintenance support plans 7 plugin CPS.
